Prometheus.

I really want to see the movie. It’s always interesting when a popular IP’s universe gets expanded. But it’s inevitable to see and hear all the noise about the movie.

People with no clout with sci-fi material will try their damnedest to try and fit in by explaining their thoughts on social media. One good example is when the Avengers released back in May and those people tried so hard to show how much they knew by inadvertently spoiling the film in the process.

Then there’s the opposite with real sci-fi nerds. Fanboys keep missing the point of Prometheus in their reviews entirely. IT’S. NOT. SUPPOSED. TO. BE. LIKE. ALIEN. That was the whole point of making the story a more original creation. People keep going on in their reviews about how it lacks Alien’s tension and whatnot, but I don’t think Scott wanted it to be like that. The fanboys filled in that bit of misinformation on their own. The only thing Scott said was that it was in the same universe.

Now I’m not saying that Prometheus will be any good because there are chances that I will dislike the film, but I think the best way to approach the film, as well as every other aspect of life, is to go in with no expectations.
