I Got 5 On It | Luniz feat. Michael Marshall

If you’re going to DJ for a 30+ year-old Filipino crowd in Cerritos at some random joint in a mini-mall area with a Goldilocks and Island Pacific supermarket, which happens to be the site for Barkada’s Christmas party in ‘07 (formerly known as O Bar & Grill), you damn well better play this jam. Not to mention some dance hall, UB40, and west coast gangsta shit.

Pretty hilarious to see some older people look down upon the snapback youngsters getting down to House music and Nicki Minaj’s “Starships.” Their faces of disgust was priceless.

Hiwa (name of the joint) was the only plausible place for some family and friends to come out and celebrate my sister’s 27th birthday. It’s just a little odd finding a small little club environment in Cerritos.
